One day I decided to experiment with leather and metal by making a chic dog chain collar. Besides, it was a time when we were gearing up for our first international dog show. Naturally, I had the desire to craft something special to impress the exhibitors not only with my smart, trained dog but also with its great gear. I stayed up nights building the stunning dog collar from genuine Italian leather, featuring stainless steel hardware, chain, and studs. Believe me, my Bond created a sensation at the show, catching the eyes of visitors and exhibitors. Many people stopped to stare at Bond in his gorgeous collar, others whispered and pointed to the accessory around its neck. Some visitors just came up to me and asked where I had bought such a spectacular collar for my dog. I had nothing to hide so I told them it was my creation. There at the dog show, I got my first orders to build custom collars for puppies and dogs. My reputation as a collar designer went viral around the city in an instant. The number of calls asking for custom-made collars increased with each day that passed. The work was in full swing and new ideas and experiments came along.
While volunteering at the pet shelter, I also gained a lot of experience in making collars. I contacted the dog handlers and veterinarians who practiced in the shelter. So I learned a lot about the types of cat and dog collars, and their use in training and behavior control, including regular walks and at home. From the knowledge I gained, I realized that collars should be primarily safe and comfortable for the dogs, not for their owner in terms of beauty and design.
